ahhh- Feb, You Done Good!

Feb is nearly over. And Look! This was spotted earlier this week. (hint- blue skies, bare ground, evidence of sunshine)
Look! Izmail- I'm blowing you a kiss!
haha- this was spotted too! Somebody has too few warm cozy (and dry) corners to curl up in. This guy looked like a warrior!
And in the kitchen? This-->
oh look- this is the inside! Soup! That, folks is French Vegetable (Kristina, help me out here!) soup. Lots of veggies. Lots. Start with a big leek and chop it and put it all in. And potatoes, carrots, regular onion, garlic, zucchini, celery. Cook it. Until all those dudes are soft. Then, puree it. You know- pureed soups rock. They are splendid. They are creamy and tasty (and you don't have to chew, as our guest today said). There are also a host of dried herbs in here.
But- onward. Save the best for last.
Guess who came to visit? :) Yep, the Little Dude.No one (least of all Baby) is quite sure just how happy he is with this situation... but isn't he darling? All bundled up. (And tied shut with a blue satin ribbon!) And that's his very skinny mom on the left there. He'll soon be bigger than her...

  1. Sunshine somehow has the ability to instantly reach far inside a person and brighten all the dark spots that form over the winter "shut in".

  3. hmm..is that French vegetable soup supposed to have another name? it doesn`t quite look like "ratatouille", but it could be a twisted version of it...?? ;)
