Ahhh Spring... how we have longed for you

Thank you so much for finally coming to Kyiv, Lady Spring. Your arrival was swift with nearly no warning...but we don't mind one tiny bit, Oh No We Don't! You are, as they say, Welcome as the Flowers in May...thank goodness you did not wait until May to come...as we were afraid you had a mind to.

I promised you pix, no matter how trivial, no matter how dull...
Well, I'd hate to let you down. Carnage from tonight's photo shoot/rampage.

I love looking out the kitchen window at the canal. It is somehow connected to the Dnieper River (f0r all kinds of fun-or not- stuff click here!) This was a gorgeous early spring evening. More canal.... and more. Notice how still the water is. Sometimes crew teams practice on the canal. Sometimes people swim in it. Sometimes there are ducks...but not tonight... tonight it was like glass.

And just look at the color! That yellow/orange? That's 1- the sun highlighting everything...and 2- branches that are about to burst out into wonderful glorious buds! My heart twitterpates at the thought of it.

This one is so noteworthy BECAUSE- you have to have sunshine to have shadows...

Oh- and do you see the sun reflecting off those windows?
Maybe this post should be all about sunshine instead of spring!

It rained a tiny bit today, too... that's spring, too, you know....
